Martine's Tacos & Burgers

$2 is the average price and two of them will fill you up! Don't be fooled this place is great! Breakfast tacos at its finest! Looking for the hole in the wall experience and the great local hill country food this is a must before going to the lake!

I visit a few times out of the year and the whole trip to Texas all I can think about is stopping for Tacos from Martines, as soon as I get in to the hill country. YUM. Carne Guisada taco is a must try. I’ve already been twice this week.

On our way home from a bible study, we ordered 4 bacon and egg breakfast tacos, and when we got there saw the "Cash Only" sign in the window. Oh, know! I don't normally have much cash on hand and didn't have any this morning. Martine said take the tacos and when you come by sometime I could pay him. Martine doesn't even know me but trusted I would come back. I had a Home Depot Gift Card with $18 )left on it so I gave it to him and told Martine I would be back to pay for my tacos and would do just that. He was so gracious and didn't need to let me have those tacos. We took them home and they were very good the tortillas were so full of eggs and a lot of bacon in each taco we will definitely come back again

First time in Texas so we had wanted to try some of the local food, someone recommended Martine's breakfast tacos. We had driven past here numerous times and had never really noticed the place. We were not disappointed! The breakfast tacos were awesome! I had 1, my husband had 2 and we were full. The taco shells were small, but he stuffed them heaping full with eggs, bacon and cheese. We also got green and red salsa, which my husband tried and he said was good, but one or both was a little hot for him. The price was unbelievably low. I don't know how he can sell them so cheap! I"m looking forward to trying lunch sometime. :)

You will not find better carne guisada!!! Everything is homemade, fresh. He has a variety of salsas that are magnificent. And if you ask just right, you might even get CARNITAS. Not recommended for Yankees or the Taco Bell set. This is authentic Mexican food!!!!

I lived down the road and get my weekly fix from Martine's for 7yrs. Food has always been really good at a very competitive prices. This past weekend, there was a younger guy working. I ordered my usual burger & fries. 1. I was not informed this meal is now $9 from the $6 I paid last week and is still listed as $6 on the menu. There are no signs making aware of price changes. They don't say anything until they hand you the meal and collect the money. 2. The meal I was handed was such a mess, I had to eat it with a fork. The fries were much more greasy than usual. The burger was not a patty it was a broken up burger on a bun. Couldn't pick it up.

The quantity and quality is always awesome and the prices are super perfect. You get a lot of food for your $$. And it’s always delicious. Breakfast or lunch, it’s allllll gooood! Tey apresiamos Martine!
